Use support champions that can knock up, knock back or control Alistar when he attacks. Your mission is to prevent Alistar from getting close to your teammates in combat.

Don’t stand next to your ADC because Alistar can kick you off and attack them.

How to counter Alistar?

Always keep the maximum distance to avoid being comboed by Alistar and being forced to fight him.

If Alistar fails his combo (Headbutt + Pulverize), punish him severely.

When pushing, avoid positioning yourself too near to the enemy tower to prevent Alistar from using Flash Pulverize into a Headbutt combo.

Try to hold off on using your team’s damage on Alistar until his ultimate has worn off during a teamfight.

You can still avoid Alistar’s Headbutt by dashing, blinking, or flashing before it reaches you. Moreover, knockbacks, and knockups might stop the dash.

If Alistar ganks in another lane, punish his ADC.
