Dr. Mundo’s Combo

Best combo for Dr. Mundo:

Skill 1 -> Skill 2 -> AA -> Skill 3 -> AA -> Skill 1 -> AA

Use your Infected Cleaver to poke and restore HP

If you want to restore some health during the laning phase, you can just throw your Skill 1 at the opponent and you’ll get some HP back. It will also slow enemies down, so if you want to chase them down, this is a great way to crowd control (CC) them.

Don’t keep your Skill 2 activated while you don’t need it (especially in the early game)

Mundo’s skills use his own HP, but don’t worry – they won’t actually kill you. However, they will get your HP very low if you keep on using the skills, such as Skill 2, non-stop for no reason. So, before you get Spirit Visage/Warmog’s Armor, don’t keep them activated all the time.

How to play:

Dr Mundo is a Baron Lane Tank that loves to get in the enemy’s faces and take a lot of damage. Dr Mundo excels against magic damage dealers and he can become nearly immortal because of all of his healing. He is incredibly tanky and has great sustain which helps him a lot, especially during the late game team fights. Dr Mundo does have a weak early game and can struggle a bit but as long as you can farm and get a few items then he can become really strong.

Dr Mundo can also be played in the jungle, make sure to check the alternative build at the top of the page! With Dr Mundo jungle the build is pretty much the same but the runes are very different.

Dr. Mundo’s Abilities

(Passive) Goes Where He Pleases

Dr Mundo resists the first immobilizing effect, losing some current health instead and dropping a Chemical Canister nearby. Retrieving the canister reduced the cooldown by a few seconds and heals Dr Mundo.
If an enemy champion walks over the Canister before you reach it they will destroy it instead.
This makes Dr Mundo hard to deal with. You can walk forward with confidence when the passive is available knowing that you can’t be hit by any Crowd Control.

(Skill 1) Infected Bonesaw

Dr Mundo throws his Bonesaw, dealing magic damage and slowing them for a few seconds. Since Dr Mundo’s abilities use health and not mana, you can use this ability as much as you want whilst farming the jungle to help with your clear speed.

When laning with Dr Mundo, you need to be a little bit more careful as if you miss the Bonesaw you will be losing health each time.

(Skill 2) Heart Zapper

Dr Mundo Charges a defibrillator for a few seconds, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies.
When you recast the ability Dr Mundo detonates the defibrillator, dealing magic damage. If the detonation damaged an enemy, Dr Mundo heals a percentage of the damage taken during Heart Zapper’s duration.

It’s important to use this ability whilst you are in the middle of a teamfight or farming minions/monsters because you do damage over time to nearby enemies and a percentage of damage taken will be healed back so you don’t have to worry about taking a lot of damage.

(Skill 3) Blunt Force Trauma

This ability has a Passive and an Active effect.
The Passive is Dr Mundo gains Attack Damage based on his missing health which works well in combination with Heart Zapper (2nd Ability).

The Active is Dr Mundo Empowers his next attack to deal additional physical damage. If Dr Mundo kills that target he swats the target away, dealing the same to enemies. This works well as a poking tool in the laning phase since you can hit both minions and the enemy champion when lined up correctly.

(Ultimate) Maximum Dosage

This ability is what makes it so difficult to kill Dr Mundo. He heals for a percentage of his missing health. He also gains attack damage and movement speed for a few seconds and heals a percentage of his maximum health over the duration. Most of the time you want to wait until you are low on health before you use the ultimate so you can health back to full health really easily.
