How to play:

Kai’Sa is a dragon lane champion that focuses on attack damage to kill the enemy team. Kai’Sa is not the best in the early game because she has a short auto attack range. The later the game goes and the more items she gets, the stronger she becomes. Kai’Sa has a very unique passive, Second Skin; when Kai’Sa buys items, her basic abilities can get upgraded. The most important ones you need to focus on are Icathian Rain, when upgraded the ability can shoot more missiles. The other upgrade you should focus on is Supercharge, when upgraded you turn invisible when using the ability.

Kai’Sa’s Abilities

(Passive) Second Skin

Kai’Sa has 2 parts to her passive Second Skin. The first one is Living Weapon, which allows her abilities to evolve depending on the items she builds. Most of the time you only want to upgrade Icathian Rain and Supercharge as this is what makes you really strong. Once you get both of these upgrades, following the build path below you become unkillable.

The second passive is Caustic Wounds. Kai’Sa’s attacks and allies’ immobilizing effects stack Plasma on the enemy. This makes any support with crowd control great with Kai’Sa as the support can help you stack the passive. The number of stacks on the target can be seen just below the champion/minion. Once you get 4 stacks on an enemy, the 5th attack deals bonus magic damage equal to a percentage of their missing health. This passive transfers to all attacks from Runaan’s Hurricane attacks which makes this a core item for her

(Skill 1) Icathian Rain

Launches 6 missiles that split evenly among nearby enemies, each dealing physical damage. When Kai’Sa is isolated with an enemy champion (1vs1), all the missiles go onto that champion which makes Kai’Sa deadly. Icathian Rain is also a great tool during the laning phase. This ability can be used to poke down the enemy champion and hit minions at the same time. Make sure the enemy champions and minions are in range of your ability and the missiles will spread to all targets.

Living Weapon: Once you have enough attack damage this ability will be upgraded. Instead of launching 6 missiles, you will launch 12. That’s double the number of missiles and you guessed it, double the amount of damage! When following the build path below, you can get this upgrade at around 4/5 minutes which is a huge power spike of damage that you can deal and can instantly clear minions waves.

(Skill 2) Void Seeker

Fires a blast that reveals the first enemy hit, adds 2 Plasma (Passive) stacks, and deals magic damage. There are 2 ways you can use this ability to its full potential.

The first is to increase the speed at which you get your stacks for your passive. Hitting enemies with Void Seeker adds 2 stacks. Using this ability in between your attacks is a great way to get to 5 stacks as fast as possible to deal more damage in a short space of time.

The second is to use Void Seeker to mark enemies from far away so you can use your Ultimate (Killer Instinct) on the target to surprise them. This is mainly useful in the mid/late game when you have a few items and have your abilities upgraded. If you can catch someone out by themselves, you can easily get a kill and get an advantage for your team.

Living Weapon: Once you have enough ability power, this ability will be upgraded. Now your Void Seeker will add 3 stacks of your passive and refund cooldown when it hits an enemy champion. Most if not all the time you will not be upgrading this ability as this is not the main source of your damage, but if you see that your team needs some ability power damage or your opponents are building a lot of armor, you can switch up your build and build more ability power to do mixed damage.

(Skill 3) Supercharge

When activated, the ability charges up gaining movement speed. After the charge is finished, Kai’Sa gains attack speed. This adds some mobility to Kai’Sa’s kit and gives her more attack speed. However, when you are charging the ability you cannot attack, you can only use Icathian Rain. In the early game, the best time to use this ability is right at the start when you know you are about to go into a teamfight.

Living Weapon: Once you have enough attack speed, this ability will be upgraded. When you activate Supercharge, you will become invisible during the charge up. This makes this ability really strong in the mid/late game. Use the ability to throw off your enemies and move to a different location when you are invisible, surprising them with your huge amount of damage.

(Ultimate) Killer Instinct

Allows Kai’Sa to dash to a location near an enemy champion marked by Plasma (Passive), gaining a shield that absorbs damage for a few seconds. This is your main ability to outplay the enemy and get an advantage for your team.

When you are in a duel at close range, you can use Killer Instinct to avoid enemy damage, skill shots and crowd control or use it to gain a shield when duelling vs an enemy champion. This allows you to reposition and get a shield that can help you survive.

Another way you can use Killer Instinct is to jump onto the enemy backline to assassinate them. Be careful when doing this as if you get caught out, you will die very quickly.

The best thing to do is not to just tap your Killer instinct. You want to aim the ability and make sure you can get an advantage when using your ultimate.
